Six Tips To Keep Your Skin Rejuvenated And Glowing For The Holiday Season

Winter is a challenging time to keep your skin supple and glowing. In many places, it’s cold and the wind is dry, two conditions that are not kind to skin. Ironically, the holiday season arrives in late fall and early winter when people are expected to socialize. So, how do you keep your skin rejuvenated and glowing? Here are six tips to keep your skin glowing.

First Tip: Keep your showers short and on the lukewarm side.
Lukewarm water is warm enough to remove the dirt from your skin but you shouldn't linger in a shower for more than 15 minutes or so. This is especially true if you have dry skin. Believe it or not, the water from the shower will begin to suck up the water that’s in your skin.

Second Tip: You should exfoliate your skin at least once a week to keep it smooth.
Dead skin cells accumulate on the very top layer of the skin and make it look dull. One trick is to scrub your skin while it’s dry before you get into the shower. Give special care to those rough places like your elbows, knees and heels by scrubbing gently with a body brush.

Third Tip: Find out what kind of skin you have.
People have normal, dry, oily or sensitive skin. Some people have more than one type of skin. For example, some folks are oily only in the T-zone, which is the area that starts in the forehead and goes down the nose. You can find out if your skin is oily by pressing blotting paper to your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Finding out your skin type will go a long way in determining what sort of skin products you buy and how you use them.

Fourth Tip: Use sunscreen when you go outside.
Yes, this is true even if you’re dark-skinned! The sunscreen should protect against both ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B raise and should have an SPF of at least 15. Put on the sunscreen at least 15 to 30 minutes before going out so that it can start to work. Then, reapply it after about 20 minutes in the sun and about two hours thereafter. To protect your face, get a formula that also has hydrating ingredients. Put it on first, then put on the makeup. Use a protective lip balm for your lips.

Fifth Tip: Don’t Smoke.
Along with being a sun worshipper without sunscreen, this is just about the worst thing you can do for your skin. The pollutants in smoking cause skin to dry out, wrinkle and age prematurely.

Sixth Tip: Use Epicuren Discovery Moisturizer.
These moisturizers eschew artificial ingredients that can irritate the skin and are full of natural products like antioxidant vitamins, aloe vera and avocado. You can choose from Epicuren colostrum cream serum moisturizer to their Skin Rejuvenation Anti-Aging Therapy to their Avocado Soothing Moisturizer. They even offer a Moisture Surge Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid is a type of sugar that draws water into the skin and keeps it springy. Apply the lotion twice a day and put it on after you shower to make sure the moisture is locked in.

Preparing your skin for the holidays is easy and even fun. Your smooth, radiant skin will have heads turning at every party and event that you attend this holiday season!
