Nigeria was the first African nation to qualify for the finals in Brazil next year, and the team that has often promised so much before a major tournament is looking like it will be in good shape by the time they get on a the flight to South America. Enyeama’s speech
Enyeama currently plays for Ligue 1 side Lille, and he has recently shared his opinion on who he thinks the key players will be in his nation’s attempt to conquer the world in 2014.
“I pray that Mikel Obi will be in his best shape and [Victor] Moses plus Emenike will all be in their true elements by the time the World Cup will start in Brazil,” Enyeama told Sport.
“These three men are those that we are banking on because if they are in top shape, they will help us to get a rhythm and also they make things happen. They make the difference in important matches.”
The former Enyimba player also has high hopes for a young Nigerian who plays for Lazio named Ogenyi Onazi as the 20-year-old has been in fine form for the Serie A side this term, and he explained: “Onazi is also coming up greatly.”
“I pray that they all stay injury-free and are in top shape ahead of the World Cup,” the 31-year-old added sincerely.
