American actor Richard Gere and his wife Carey Lowell have separated and are working on the divorce process.The couple who have been married for 11 years and have a 13-year-old son together, have been spending time apart for quite some time.
The duo made the decision due to their different lifestyles because while the 64-year-old Gere likes the quiet life, his former Bond girl wife, 52, is more of a fan of “socialising with other bigwigs”.
The couple, who tied the knot in the November 2002 after being together for seven years, haven’t been photographed together since the beginning of the year -– the last time was at the Golden Globes on January.
The couple met in 1995, after Gere’s divorce from supermodel Cindy Crawford, whom he was married to for 5 year
