Soldiers Set Buses Ablaze In Ikorodu, Lagos [Photos]

Soldiers have reportedly been on a rampage in Ikorodu after a bus driver crushed a soldier to death. The BRT driver who hit the soldier ran into Palmgrove estate in order to avoid the wrath of other soldiers present. Upon noticing that the driver ran away, the Army men ran into Palmgrove estate and when they couldn’t find the driver, seized one of the Estate’s security men.

They also stopped BRT buses and beat passengers and set some of the buses on fire. Spectators who were trying to take pictures claim to have been beaten by the soldiers as well. According to an eye-witness, two civilians were allegedly beaten up and a guy who was taking pictures was beaten and his phone smashed on the express road.

Then the soldiers allegedly started vandalizing the buses! According to the source, some soldiers left the express and took big sticks from women cooking by the road to break the glasses of the bus. Then one of them took stones and allegedly threw it into the crowd twice. Now the whole express is blocked. See photos below.

Meet Ernest Nwankwo, the pastor who owned a ritualists' den in Lagos

The above photos shows the face of Ernest Chukwuemeka Nwankwo. He's the kidnapper and ritualist masquerading as a pastor and General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy. Ernest Nwankwo went on the run on Wednesday 25th June 2014 from his Ogolonto den in Ikorodu, Lagos after 8 kidnapped victims were rescued from him and his gang. (read story here).

Continue to read more about him and an update on the story...

Ritualists’ den owned by a pastor uncovered in Lagos, 8 kidnapped victims rescued

A ritualist den owned by one pastor Ernest Nwankwo, the General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy was yesterday June 25th uncovered at Ogolonto area in Ikorodu, Lagos, with 8 victims rescued.

According to Vanguard, the den was discovered after a failed attempt by a woman identified as Mrs Rosemary Chukwu, a member of Pastor Nwankwo's church, to kidnap her neighbor's 7 year old son, Emeka Emmanuel to the den for rituals.

Sources in the area said around 6.30 am yesterday, Mrs Chukwu lured the little boy who was on his way to fetch water from a well down the road and took him to her house where she locked him in the toilet. To keep her neighbors from hearing the little boy's screams for help, Chukwu then instructed her own children to begin a prayer session which they did, shouting on top of their voices. Continue...
Trouble however started when the boy's mother who stays four buildings from Mrs Chukwu raised alarm after she could not find her son. A search for the young boy began which Mrs Chukwu also partook in. Minutes into the search, Mrs Chukwu was said to have excused herself, went into her house and then came out with a box on her head, saying she was travelling. Suspecting foul play, some of the area boys instructed her to put down the suitcase which was opened and the unconscious body of the 7 year old boy was discovered.

A resident of the area, Oyetoye Gbemi who spoke with Vanguard said the area boys descended on her and she confessed it was her pastor who sent her

"She told us she was travelling to the village. But one of the area boys who was among the search party, ordered his colleagues to search the box. Immediately she heard that, she flung the box away and took to her heels. We all suspected something was amiss. When the box was opened, Emmanuel was found inside, half dead. The area boys descended on her and stripped her naked. On interrogation, she said her pastor, the General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy, asked her to bring the boy. The area boysfollowed her to 319, Lagos Road, Ikorodu, where the church is situated, where they saw her pastor waiting for her. But on sighting the crowd, he took to his heels. But for the arrival of Policemen from Owutu division, the woman would have been lynched. The angry mob also attempted to set the church ablaze but were also prevented by the policemen. They, however, succeeded in torching some parts of the property.” he saidIn the process of chasing the fleeing Pastor and burning some part of the church building, area boys forced open a door to a building at 7, Oshodi Street, which was directly at the back of the church building and owned by Pastor Ernest. To everyone's amazement, men and women, eight in number, chained and looking frail were found in the building. The captives upon interrogation said they were kidnapped from various places like Ogun, Anambra, Bayelsa and Oyo states. One of the captives, a 50 year old woman said she was kidnapped while returning from a night vigil. One of the rescued victim, 52 year old man pictured above without a shirt said he was a commercial bus driver and was kidnapped two years ago.
Residents in the area said the building owned by the pastor had always been under suspicion as no one ever saw anyone coming out or going in during the day. They said most of the activities carried out in the building is usually done at night.Police sources confirmed the arrest of Mrs Chukwu while her pastor is currently on the run.

Yvonne Nelson – ‘I’m very paranoid. I don’t believe in what any man says’.

Ghanaian Actress, Yvonne Nelson has opened up about her life in an interview with Jessica Opare Saforo on the Traffic Avenue. The pretty Ghanaian actress took Jessica on a joy ride when she answered questions related to her career, love life and the controversies.

Asked if she’s currently dating and responded in a way you wouldn’t expect, saying “I’m very paranoid. I don’t believe in what any man says. I’m no longer dating but I still believe in love.”

Yvonne Nelson wasn’t at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and she used the opportunity to dispel assertions that her absence was because of Iyanya, her ex-boyfriend who was billed to perform.

“I wasn’t at the VGMAs because I was involved in an accident on my way there. I was to present an award,” she said.

Reacting to rumors that she has been bleaching, she explained that the use of filters on Instagram among other things make her look a bit fairer and that she has not bleached. She explained that some people would just not accept her explanation, but remain resolute about the bleaching rumors.

Among other things, she revealed how with time she has managed to build herself up in the movie industry. She’s currently working on her latest self-produced movie which features the best in the Ghanaian movie industry.

Tiwa Savage: The Line Between Sexy & Slutty

Tiwa Savage performing at Star Trek, Ekwulobia, May 2014.

Tiwa Savage did not wait for the ink to dry on her marriage certificate before crossing the line between sexy and slutty.

Even with the reportedly racy ‘Wanted’ video by the new Mrs Balogun yet to make a public debut, the young woman on May 4 left little to the imagination with a risque one-on-one with a male fan on stage during the Ekwulobia, Anambra leg of this year’s Star Music Trek.

She had told critics a few days before that “I’m off to the beach to show more of my bikini body. Because I’m married I should turn into a nun, abi? Maybe if you work on your body your husband will not be drooling over me.”

Fortunately, some people still buy Tiwa’s CDs because of her music. And only the callous and (probably) envious will argue when she said "I have worked my butt off to follow my dreams."

Please pray that her voice lasts longer than the butt and bikini body.

Hopefully, the music will endure when everything else starts drooping.

According to a report by AFP, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA told them that 118 people have been confirmed dead from today's bomb blast in Jos, with several others still under the debris

"The exact figure of the dead bodies recovered as of now is 118 and more bodies may be in the debris of buildings which collapsed due to the intensity of the blasts.” Mohammed Abdulsalam told AFP. He also revealed that 56 people were injured in the twin blasts.

Plateau state Police commissioner Chris Olakpe had earlier told reporters that only 46 people were killed and 45 others were injured. He later said "We are saying 46. That’s the number we have in the morgues. But we are not ruling out more bodies.”

Well, eye-witnesses insists there are way more bodies. At least 200. Many have not been recovered.

Mad Woman Caught With N100K, ATM Cards & Smartphones

A woman said to be mentally-challenged escaped being lynched by angry mob on Wednesday in Lagos after she was allegedly caught with N100,000, two Blackberries and one Android phone.

According to report from the scene of the incident around Onabanjo Street, Oworonshoki, Lagos, it was learnt that the incident occurred around 10am. The woman has been arrested and taking to station.

A policeman who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said attempts to verify the allegations were fruitless. He said, “I have been asking the woman questions all day, but she has just been incoherent. She has even refused to tell us her name. At some point, she just started crying, so I let her sleep. I don’t even know if she is a mad woman.”

Some residents of the area told Punch that two ATM cards were also found on the woman. A resident, James Ogunkoya said when some youths saw the woman with some money, they trailed her into a compound.

The youths, who suspected her of being a ritual killer, pounced on her and beat her to a pulp.

Ogunkoya said, “Around 10am, I saw a crowd around an unkempt woman. Some of the youths picked up sticks and were beating the woman. When I asked what was wrong, they said they found three phones and N100,000 with the her. They said the woman was not mad, but was only pretending to be mad so that she could easily perpetrate evil acts.”

Another resident said the youths started suspecting her as she was overheard speaking like a normal person with somebody two days ago. “Some guys were convinced that the woman was only pretending because they overheard her talking with a man on Monday night. They also wondered where a mad woman could have found the phones,” he added.

“I do not condone people taking the laws into their hands. However, it is a reflection of the level of insecurity coupled with the discovery of the activities of ritual killers in Oyo and Ogun states.

“The notorious cannibal, Clifford Oji, used to parade himself as a mad man as well. We have also seen cases in our neighbourhood where supposed mad people kidnapped children. We want the government to support the community in setting up a task force that will evacuate mentally-challenged people,” the General Secretary, Oworonshoki Youth Forum, Babajide Kabiawusaid said.

Nigeria Police say they are not making any conclusions yet until they conclude their investigations.

Read How A Nigerian Youth In The UK Stabbed And Killed His Mother

According to the Daily Mail, a UK court has heard how a 21 year old youth of Nigerian origin in the UK, Emmanuel Kalejaiye stabbed and killed his mother, Tolu Kalejaiye.

The prosecution alleged that Kalejaiye had planned to commit the ‘perfect murder’ by killing his 44-year-old mother before dressing up as her to allow himself precious time to dispose of her body.

The court heard that Kalejaiye had written out a detailed plan including notes on how to walk in high heels and had receipts for pink women’s clothing.

Police found a bloodied pink jumper and pink trousers, which Kalejaiye had bought from Primark, a clothing store, a month earlier, as well as scraps of paper detailing an alleged murder plot.

The jury also heard how Kalejaiye, who was born in Nigeria but moved to England as a small boy, stabbed his mother to death on the morning of September 26 last year.

More receipts also found at the house showed the murder weapon came from a knife block bought by Kalejaiye at a supermarket just a month before the brutal stabbing.

His mother, Mrs Kalejaiye, who worked as an accountant for Camden Council, suffered more than 40 stab wounds to her head, face, neck, upper limbs and hands during the ‘frenzied’ knife attack.

She had even called her boyfriend, Leo Shogunle, on her phone during the attack at around 7.30am – although he only received the message when he awoke later that morning.

The jury was played a disturbing three-minute voicemail in which the mother-of-two can be heard screaming ‘don’t stab me, don’t stab me – you’re a demon’, before the message fell chillingly silent.

According to the Daily Mail, Mr Shogunle raced to the home shortly after 10am on the morning of the attack after hearing the message and let himself in using a spare key.

When he reached there, he found the bloodied body of Mrs Kalejaiye lying on the kitchen floor and her son Emmanuel Kalejaiye, who said his mother had been attacked before he ran out of the house.

Kalejaiye was later seen on CCTV at around 10.30am calmly buying a can of coke and a pack of Maryland cookies at a local post office before handing himself in to police.

During police interview, he signed a confession stating:

‘I admit killing my mother this morning by stabbing her.
‘I did this because she subjected me to a lifetime of physical and mental abuse.
‘She used the Bible to rationalise what she did to me. I believe she manipulated and brainwashed me.
‘I have been very depressed for a long time. I have tried to overcome it but I couldn’t take it anymore.’
Kalejaiye later changed his story saying a gang of white armed robbers had burst into their home, forced him to stab his mum then threatened him with further violence if he told the police.

The university of Essex student went onto claim the mystery men had forced him to dress up in the ‘ill-fitting’ pink clothing and pink flip flops to move his mother’s Mercedes car – a move the prosecution claimed had been an attempt fool neighbours into thinking his mother had driven to work.

However, evidence from an expert psychiatrist says Kalejaiye had been suffering from severe depression and paranoid schizophrenia at the time of the attack.

The court also heard how fellow students at Essex University, where Kalejaiye had studied biochemistry, found him ‘weird and paranoid.’

Kalejaiye has been found not guilty of murder, but guilty of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility, due to mental health issues. The verdict came following a two-week trial.

Judge Christopher Ball QC said:

‘The evidence shows the defendant is capable of a very deliberate and calculated act of supreme violence.
‘If as a paranoid schizophrenic he is capable of this, he may present a very significant danger to anyone who upsets him for many years to come.
‘I am keen to see the extent to which paranoid schizophrenia will underscore the danger he poses to others in the future to assess a proper sentence.’
The judge has also requested a full psychiatric report into the danger Kalejaiye could be to the public ahead of sentencing in June.

Is it over with P-Square?

I've been hearing a few stories about Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square having issues for a while now. I hear they disagree on everything now...songs, videos, ideas etc...but because they are twin brothers, I figured well, they will sort things out...so I didn't write.

On Wednesday April 16th, I gathered exclusively from industry sources that the brothers fought each other physically during rehearsals. They had to be separated by their dancers. This is fact! But I decided to leave the story alone because which sibling doesn't disagree sometimes, right? But now their older brother, Jude Okoye, who is also their manager, just tweeted that after ten years he's done.

I hear one of the wives is causing some of the problems between the brothers. *sigh* Dear P-Square, don't even think of breaking up. You will break the hearts of millions of people...including myself. Please stay together.

Anti-gay law: Gay Nigerians flood Netherlands embassy seeking asylum

Choi, some Nigerians like to take advantage sha! Lol. The Embassy of the Netherlands in Nigeria has confirmed that it has received some applications for asylum by some Nigerians who fear persecution following the recent signing into law the anti-gay bill by President Jonathan, Thisday reports.

Netherlands is a gay-friendly country. The embassy sent an email to Thisday some days ago saying that despite receiving these applications, it was neither involved in processing any application for asylum seekers nor does it have the power to grant asylum to applicants.
"The embassy has received a small number of applications for asylum by Nigerians. It is not possible to apply for asylum at the embassy. We inform the applicants likewise but we do not register the number of applications made. At this stage, it is not possible to make predictions. That would be speculation. However, when people become increasingly aware that it is not possible to apply for asylum at the embassy, one could expect a decrease. The embassy is not involved in the asylum process, neither in the application nor in the determination of the authenticity of claims.”

Singer Davido Finally Reveals Why He insulted Top Music Video Director, Sesan Over Skelewu Video

When Davido released the song, he tasked his fans to record the ‘Skelewu’ dance with any device of their choices and upload such on the internet. This was exactly what D’Banj did when he released his smash hit single, ‘Oliver Twist’.

As expected, many people responded to it and in a short time, the ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ announced that he was shooting the music video of the song.
However, before its official release, the music video, shot by Sesan, reportedly leaked on the internet, but the video received knocks from fans, who felt disappointed at the work. As a way of damage control, Davido took to twitter to dissociate himself from the video and slammed Sesan for the job.

He thereafter announced that he was contracting UK-based music video director, Moe Musa for another shoot of the song. Though the second job fell below expectation, Davido later gave up on the job after he was slammed by his fans as he was allegedly planning to shoot a third video for the song.

Speaking recently on why he publicly took on Sesan, Davido declared that he felt bad about what Sesan did because he had expected much from him.

Corroborating him, his cousin, Shina Rambo, lamented that Sesan didn’t do what was expected from him. He said they were angry with him (Sesan) because they paid hugely for the job and thought he would do what would be appreciated by all.

Barack Obama, Michelle Obama Divorce Rumors: Everything You Want And Need To Know.

Rumors of a divorce between Barack and Michelle Obama have set the Internet abuzz. Here’s everything you want to know about the new Obama divorce rumors which have suddenly become the hottest news on the internet. The information below is based on Jan. 19 news reports from Inquisitr.com, The Nation, The Daily Star and other media outlets reporting on the alleged Obama marital strife as viewed by The Examiner.

Here are the key points associated with the latest Obama divorce rumors, including two alleged cheating episodes by Barack Obama and the brazen flirting which angered Michelle Obama to the point that she reportedly wants a divorce.

Divorce Already in the Works

Michelle Obama has already secretly met with an attorney to work out the logistics of filing for a divorce in which she will pursue a divorce settlement in which will include half of Barack Obama’s assets.

When Barack Obama’s presidency is over, he will reportedly move back to Hawaii where he grew up. Michelle Obama and the couple’s two teenage daughters, Sasha and Malia, will remain in Washington D.C. This is not the first time the Obama’s have been the subject of divorce rumors. However, this time the divorce rumors have a slightly different twist.

Secret Service Covers Up Obama’s Cheating

During the Obama’s Christmas break in Hawaii, someone is said to have leaked information to Michelle Obama about the Secret Service covering up Barack Obama’s alleged extramarital affairs.

In one incident, Barack was reportedly caught with a woman in an incident that was quickly hushed up by the Secret Service.

In a separate incident, a Secret Service agent was said to have seen Barack Obama in a compromising position with another woman while Michelle Obama was out of town. These new allegations of infidelity have revived interest in previous reports of Michelle Obama’s jealousy and the infamous rumor of the Barack Obama-Vera Baker affair.

Barack Obama Selfies Embarrass Michelle Obama

Prior to finding out about Barack Obama’s alleged infidelities, Michelle Obama was allegedly already angry that Barack Obama embarrassed her by taking selfies at Nelson Mandela’s funeral with the beautiful blonde the prime minister of Denmark, Helle Thorning-Schmidt while Michelle gave them an icy stare. The first lady later changed seats, putting herself between Barack Obama and the attractive blonde. The whole incident was caught by photographers and pictured of the incident went viral on the Net.

Obamas Fight in Hawaii During Christmas Break

According to the rumors, the Obamas fought about the incident during their Christmas break in Hawaii and things came to a head when she found out about the Secret Service covering up Barack’s extramarital affairs.

This was reportedly the real reason Michelle Obama refused to return to Washington with Barack and the couple’s daughters. They flew back without Michelle, who remained behind and spent more than a week at Oprah Winfrey’s Hawaiian estate with friends.

The official story that Michelle’s extended stay in Hawaii was a birthday present from Barack Obama. The White House press secretary commented “If you have kids, you know that telling your spouse that they can go spend a week away from home is actually a big present

Separate Bedrooms, Separate Lives

Anonymous White House sources claim that the first couple have already separated. For the sake of outward appearances, Michelle Obama will reportedly continue living at the White House until Barack Obama’s current term of office ends, but she will lead a separate life. The first lady has reportedly already moved out of the presidential bedroom and into another bedroom in the family’s private living quarters. Other sources report that Michelle Obama has already made arrangements to remove Barack Obama’s belongings from of their Chicago home.

Nigeria’s Retrogressive Anti-Gay Law

This past Wednesday, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan elevated crassness and primitiveness to the highest level imaginable by signing into law a bill banning homosexuality in Nigeria. I deliberately crafted the previous sentence so unambiguously. He did not just ban homosexual marriage; he banned homosexuality as a whole! Perhaps if the law had only stopped at "persons who enter into a same-sex marriage contract or civil union commit an offence and are each liable on conviction to a term of 14 years in prison," one might not feel so much outrage. But it went on to state that "any person who registers, operates or participates in gay clubs, societies and organizations or directly or indirectly makes public show of same-sex amorous relationship in Nigeria commits an offence and shall each be liable on conviction to a term of 10 years in prison"! In essence, only heterosexuals are allowed to hold hands in public, sit on each other’s lap, hump each other while dancing in clubs or kiss publicly. What, in the name of God, just happened to Nigeria?

Let me state upfront that I am a Straight (heterosexual) guy who is happily married to a beautiful woman. So, this write-up is not about me or my sexual preference. It is about Nigeria’s lack of originality and lack of creative instincts. We the people, along with our leaders, fail to do the deep thinking, the due diligence, in many respects that will take our country farther and more quickly than we have hitherto done. Lethargy is irredeemably ingrained in our psyche. Otherwise, how does being openly gay draw our country back? We already have thousands of gay people in our midst! How does their gayness prevent those of us who are not gay from going about our businesses?

This law assumes that the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community just arrived in Nigeria yesterday. No, the LGBT has been with us since, at least, when I was a young boy over 50 years ago. I recall growing up in (yes) Zaria, Kaduna State, of all places, and going to watch evening dances of members of the LGBT. We used to call them “Dandaudu.” We, the kids, used to marvel at their public display of amorous acts. This was in the early 60s. They were not hidden behind the walls of any clubs in the middle of the night; they danced in open spaces and in early evenings. I have also personally witnessed “Dandaudus” doing their dances in Bukuru, Jos, Bauchi and Maiduguri in the 70s. And if you lived in the hostel during your secondary school years, don’t tell me that you did not catch a few of your guy friends “doing it.” I have heard from some of my secondary school female friends of the sexual trysts that went on in their hostel. Let’s not even talk about what happens in the dorms of our universities. So, why are we just now finding out that their presence in our midst is anathema and antithetical to our moral fiber?

Reuben Abati, that formerly celebrated anti-bad government champion, who is now a turncoat and who I now detest with so much passion, defended the law with the pedestrian argument that since 90 percent of Nigerians were opposed to same-sex marriage, “...the law is in line with our cultural and religious beliefs.” Ninety percent? First, how did we come up with that percentage? When did we poll the country to ascertain that 90 percent of our people oppose same-sex marriage? And even if they do, what right does the majority have to trample on the basic right of the minority – the fundamental human right to freedom of association? What right does the majority have to deprive the minority of having sex with whomever it wants as long as it is consensual? The worst that the Nigerian government should have been able to do should have been the denial of official recognition of such a union. But to criminalize it is akin to despotism, especially in a democratic dispensation.

And by the way, since when has this government or any past Nigerian government taken a decision in favor of an issue perceived to have received the support of the majority of Nigerians? Don’t 90 percent of our people support the removal or Stella Oduah as Aviation minister, Diezani Madueke as Petroleum minister and Reuben Abati as adviser? Don’t 90 percent of our people support the banning of government officials, especially the President, from seeking medical attention abroad until our medical facilities and personnel are of the same standard as those they use when they go abroad? Don’t 90 percent of our people support the supply of 24/7 uninterrupted electricity to all corners of Nigeria? Don’t 90 percent of our people support the revamping, rejuvenating and reinvigorating of the EFCC so it can better fight corruption? Don’t 90 percent of our people support a massive overhaul of our educational infrastructures from elementary all the way to university systems? Don’t 90 percent of our people oppose the blocking of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway by mega-churches and mega-mosques? Have our lawmakers crafted any laws that criminalize the failure by government to do the things mentioned above? No. But these nosey people are eager to get into the bedrooms of Nigerians.

I find this homophobic inclination that is so rampant in our country as yet another example of religious zealotry and self-righteousness that have been the bane of our society. Everybody is stampeding and trampling each other today in their quest to out-do one another as they condemn homosexuality. But we will find out one day - tomorrow maybe - just as we have found out in Europe and America that even family members of influential government officials can be (and are indeed) gay! In fact, we will soon find out that membership in the LGBT community cuts across all spectra of our society – from the ranks of elected politicians, to traditional rulers, military officers, police officers, teachers, technocrats, pastors, imams, babalawos, traders and what not. And what are we going to do when we find out that one of these influential people whom we had thought was heterosexual was indeed bisexual? Would we throw OBJ or IBB or GEJ or Mama Iyabo or Dame Patience or any of their children into 14 years of prison terms if any of them turns out to be gay? What would we do when we discover that Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye or his wife, Folu do engage in homosexual acts (with other partners, of course)? What about Sheik Muhammad Yahaya Sanni and his many wives? Are we going to give them immunity against prosecution?

This is why I stated earlier that our leaders did not subject this law to a rigorous and intellectual discuss before allowing their emotion, religion and communal bandwagon mentality to overtake their sense of reason. Before the bill was adopted by the Senate in 2011, a few Nigerian members of the LGBT community, supported by some civil rights activists, appeared before the Senate to argue against enacting such a law. The lawmakers and religious zealots in the chambers of the Senate booed and heckled these gay folks till they cried and left in disgrace. Among the booing and heckling crowd were men who maintain two, three, four or more wives – wives who are subjugated, mentally and are physically abused. Among this crowd were women who cheat on their husbands with their pastors and imams to the extent of making babies out-of-wedlock while their husbands thought the babies were theirs. These people, in my opinion, lack the moral right to tell a gay man or woman whom to love and whom to cavort with in public.

Believe me, gays are the least of Nigeria’s problems. Graft in high places, greed in high places, hired assassination, kidnapping, murder, armed robbery, neglect of rural areas, neglect of urban areas, lack of functioning basic amenities like electricity, water, hospitals, education, transportation, youth unemployment – all take precedence over what my neighbor is doing in his/her bedroom. I am ashamed that my leaders do not see this.

And I get it. I get the fact that Nigeria is a deeply religious country. Even if I wonder how truly religious we are when we watch our religious leaders steal from the religious houses and sexually abuse the laity; even if I sometimes wonder why our religious leaders live in obscene opulence while they watch their followers wallow in abject poverty, I still get the fact that Nigeria is a deeply religious country. It is the reason why an issue such as gay rights should have been thoroughly debated intellectually. I hope the passing of this primitive and retrogressive law begins the rigorous discussion of how we allow members of the LGBT to bask in their rightful sense of belonging. We should lead Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, South Sudan, Cameroon, Togo, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leon, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia out of the comity of nations still wedded to the archaic tradition of segregating their own people on the basis of sexual preferences.

We should join South Africa, Zaire, Congo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Chad, Niger, Mali (yes, Chad, Niger and Mali), Burkina Faso, Benin Republic, Cote D’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau in the comity of nations that embrace the diversity of their people’s sexual preferences and have legislated to protect the rights of their LGBT people

Dr Mike Murdock Gives COZA Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo A Rolls Royce

Aww the man of God was in Nigeria on the 13th of January, which was the last day of COZA’s ‘12 Days of Glory’, and presented the Pastor a Rolls Royce gift. Below is how a COZA member explained it on his blog. Pastor Fatoyinbo became more popular after a young vibrant lady, Ese accused him of having sex with her.

This was the 12th and last day of “12 Days of Glory”. An annual conference heavenly inspired and organised by the Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly- COZA. Starting from the 2nd through 13th of January. Attended were World-class Ministers of the Gospel; Bishop Thomas A. Bishop Felix Adejumo, Bishop Noel Jones, Michelle M. Hammond, Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, Dr. Mike Murdock and others who preached with well Seasoned Words of Grace. It was a Life transforming moment. Continue below...

Dr. Mike Murdock crowning up the meeting did the Exceptional of what happens to be a Most Memorable day for COZA and will hit the Air-ways soon.

He was in fact eager to do it as he couldn’t wait, till after the message. I am filled with amazement and gratitude. This 68 year old Wealthy Prominent and Adept Preacher released a Million-dollar Gift to the Senior Pastor of COZA.

According to him, he had initially asked pastor Biodun in secret if he wanted it but since he did not accept it, he decided to come on publicly to offer it to the Pastor’s wife, which she gladly accepted. The Gift of a Rolls-Royce threw the Church into Shouts of Celebration and moved the Pastor and his wife to tears.

Now when a Guest speaker decides to honour the Host in such a manner, it is worth the Wonder and amazement. As the reverse should have been the case. As we speak the Car is on its way to Nigeria and Grace my Pastor’s Car Park. Wow!

Now here is the most emotional moment for me. Dr. Mike made a Life-long commitment to the Pastor’s Kids. Four of them in number. I just couldn’t hold my tears anymore as he knelt down on this hard floor for what took about 20 minutes to verbally commit; including them in his Will and to be a second Father to them for as Long as he Lives.

Wow! It was Church unusual. Afterwards he led the Church to Bless the Pastor. This surely is a “net-breaking and boat-sinking” testimony. Driving home I was marveled, I still shout at intervals. This must be an act of God’s Favor. I Celebrate my Pastor. This is a great way to start the year. I am Happy!!

Egyptian/Sudanese-American novelist and writer Kola Boof, who claimed to have been Osama Bin Laden’s sex slave, and the Cameroonian-Nigerian musician Dencia are in Twitter war of words.

It all began when Kola assumed Dencia of was bleaching her skin to be ‘White…like Jesus’. Check out what she wrote below:

The musician replied, recommended the writer to hold her ‘Saggy Ass titties’.

The second round of the twitter fight started shortly.

It was Kola Boof’s time to reply. She referred to Dencia as ‘trash’. See more tweets below:
